I have not been through 25% of the game so it won't let me go into endurance arena. Sorry can't say if 24hour Le Mans gets dark through the race. Will let you know as soon as I get there.
My TV is not 1080i ready. I play on 42" Plasma without HDTV, my screen goes blue when I turn on 1080i mode, but you can cancel with the triangle button.
The graphics are sharp as far as I can tell with a plasma.
The cars are detailed in the booklet, I'll post them when I have some time.
I have the Chinese version. It came out on Dec 28 like the Japanese version. The English version comes out in March. You can pre-order at Amazon as it'd definitely be sold out as soon as it comes out.
