Oh dear, it's back to nature. What made the Ostkurve-Hockenheim so special is that teams had to find a set-up that was both suitable for the low downforce section leading through the forests and for the tight Motodrome. So spectators had a good view of driving ability in the stadium section because drivers had to go through there with setups that had less downforce than the Motodrome would require if standing alone.
Now it stands alone, so a huge part of the reason why the cheering crowd there was reportedly such an excitement has been torn down with the Ostkurve.
By the way, I remember having seen some photos on the web of an overgrown Anderstorp circuit, if I could only remember where exactly, I'd have posted it here.
