I owned and raced a Mk 5 in the USA a few years ago. I bought it from David and Lorena McGloughlin and it was reputed to be the ex Willment car fitted with a twin cam Lotus Ford motor which ran at Brands Hatch in a non championship F1 Race in 1965 driven by Hawkins or Frank Gardner. It also supposedly ran at Enna. I can't remember the chassis number but I sold it to Douglas Jamison of Coys who raced it a few times and then sold it on to ?. Nice little car it still had a twin cam in it when I had it. I don't
remember too many details but the water bearing chassis tubes got really warm on the elbows I recall.
