To be honest, the Jags were so new and unproven that as a 9-year-old I didn't understand the significance. And let's not forget - at that point, their glittering career was still all in the future...
What I
did know was that those Rothmans Porsches were in the race programs my dad brought back from Le Mans, were numbered 1,2 and 3 and seemed to be the fastest cars I'd ever seen.
