I'll rack my brains on some of the details mentioned, Dad had the (mis)fortune of getting involved with Stars & Stripes and raced her a few times; I remember him saying she wasn't the best prepared at the time and had quite a bad flexing problem, you'd come out of a corner onto a straight and then spend most of the straight waiting for the body to stop moving and the car crabbing!!
It was a great spectacle though!!
