Great! Great to see a marshal stepping over the armco!
Are you not racing that day because of your Pit Marshal duties, or because your car isn't ready? If the first, I would try to get out of them, as you will be busy all day, with only lunch time to get around the paddock. If the second, I would definitely get out of them!
As to confused and confusing regs, that is the job of the competitions secretary, to make them confusing but also to explain! There is a wealth of contacts on the BARC site - give them an email and ask for explanation. (

I like the idea of mentors, and I'd gladly be yours - if I weren't in another series, that is unlikely to cross your path. Good luck!
