Simon Speichert should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
For those who didn't see it, Ortelli was approaching the braking zone at the end of the start/finish straight. Something caused the car to snap sideways - it looked like Ortelli hadn't started to brake yet. Sideways, the car lifted into the air and sailed literally inches above the head of Allan McNish, who was braking for the chicane. The car hit the ground at an awkward angle and started flipping end over end, shedding bodywork all over the track. It continued rolling until it crossed the track again and came to rest against the barrier. One of the scariest crashes I've ever seen, almost on par with Kubica at Montreal or Katherine Legge at Road America.
