The Shelton brothers RT4s were indeed consequetive chassis numbers and whilst they had done one pro race by the time of the 1981 SCCA finals they were pretty new at that point.
One car, I think Tom's originally but later used by Steve when Tom retired, is now in Kentucky, owned by redoubtable Solo exponent Bill Engle Sr, having earlier been run in Solo by Ron and Vicky Flier and raced in SCCA by Bill Wittkamper, Bruce Poehlmann and Les Mankowsky.
The other was sold in 82 or 83 perhaps to John Clark of Virginia, who I'm still trying to trace, and then to Freddy Rhemrev as his first Atlantic car. The whereabouts of this car is unknown
