I would agree to the "home brew" as being a
part of the reasoning. As to the Ford GT, Ford never homologated the car and it is no longer in production. No matter how good the tuner is that the car comes from it is not nor has ever been a mfg's submitted car, which makes it the equivelant of a kit car (IMO)! If the ACO accept this it will surely pi_s off the true mfgs as it widely (freaking chasm) circumvents the current rules of homologation! I believe the 4 (Aston, Ferrari, GM and Porsche) have already stated numerous times that they do not wish the Rats GT-1 rules.
