Couple of things worth noting, both M3 related.
Godfrey Hall became increasingly competitive as the season wore on and Lionel Abbott, perhaps in the car due to his Mobil sponsorship in prodsaloons, was nowhere near the pace of the other privateer drivers, let alone the Prodrive cars.
I'm assuming he was picked because Will Hoy had other commitments.
