i thought the same when i saw it. however looking very very closely at the pictures on
www.lemans.org as far as i can see there is the smallest of gaps between the fins and endplates. literally a paper thin gap, very hard to distinguish on low res pictures, but it has to be there, doesnt it?
anyone any idea what their purpose is specifically, first guessing im thinking that they are their to smooth out air or keep airflow steady for the underpart of the wing or something. probably wrong, anyone care to enliten me?
