Cold in the garage today....but thanks for the comments.
A few hours stripping down the Appleby brakes show good pistons, my spare rear is better than the original rear and I've a growing family of them!

The threads for the bleed nipples are weak/gone so some restoration needed, parts ordered off ebay.
Taking things apart is easy!

Soon time to send the frame away for a blasting and powder coat in chrome yellow. Should be black, but a bit boring in black.
Box of bits to be chromed is quite large (£).
Still lots to do!
