Rain may clear up in time for Saturday and Sunday, but it'll still be cold (at least compared to a couple of days ago).

I think that may've been why in the ALMS days that the race often was held in July, though I can tell you it was insanely hot when I went there in '08 and still got rained on in a massive thunderstorm (I didn't go to the ALMS race itself, but to the IMSA demo event the day after before the Indy Car race). 2011's race was also plagued by a nasty storm that got the race stopped a few minutes before the intended finish due to a flooded track.
