I also think there's a bit of IMSA dreaming going on.
Designing and aero testing a bespoke "Brand" body will
not be for free. A 40HP RWD hybrid booster? We had
50 RWD hybrid on P 4/5 C in 2012. Batteries were heavy.
Unit was complex and expensive. Drivers had trouble understanding
that it's only benefit was low speed torque in 8 second bursts before
the Turbos spooled. They over used it and batteries depleted quickly.
KERS was only good for 50 seconds of 50 HP per Ring lap. Turning petrol
Into charge is silly. Toyota's LMH FWD system makes sense as a lot more KERS
from Front wheel braking can be harvested but remember 2016. Complexity
can be a female dog.
