But they should be alright for straight line speed. They have power (as discussed above and I presume not detuned much), but these things are designed to nudge 200mph.

I think he means that on an oval there are, essentially, no corners as such so they don't need aero grip.
If it ends up that much heavier than a GTE it's gonna need to brake a lot earlier especially without any aero that would slow it down or give cornering grip.
Anyway, we will see on the test day how it performs, no matter how much testing and simulation they do we all know track time with the other classes, and the real G56 car as opposed to the test car they are running at the moment will be the big teller.
