There are quite a few circuits in Europe now to choose from with recently updated facilities to grade one standard. Mugello, Zandvoort, Imola etc.
Silverstone don’t seem very interested in hosting international series other than F1 and Moto GP. You can understand the reluctance from a purely financial standpoint but it provides a raw deal for UK motorsports fans.

Donington could host GTWCE Peebee... There were 49 cars at the 1994 Class 2 World Cup. A few entrants had more than one car per garage but hey ho.
