At a rough guess, I'd say that most sponsors generally don't watch motor racing- (the one thing you DON'T need is a sponsorship deal largely driven by the fact that a senior executive at the company is a motor racing fan- chances are that if he leaves or moves, then his successor will can the deal asap...), and F. Nippon probably has very little interest to sponsors who don't market in Japan.
If this deal has come together for Firman, it's going to be interesting to see who's paying for it....
