EJ's 1979 "B49" was a B49. He ran it without the weird Southgate sidepods (as did Huub with his B48). I think that car went to Tom O Leary and then to Ken Fidles. He fitted lightweight sidepods (B42 style, origin unknown) and cut back the engine cover.
The wide nose for this car is still in our loft I think...
