It is a known fact that Bernie wants FOM to write the technical regulations, not FIA. So if his ridiculous and tasteless remarks are a hint at him wanting to run for FIA president, it might not even be in owner CVC's interest to replace him because of said remarks.
It's just grumpy old men, I guess.
