I think it's another project from Toyota which does not have the highest priority for them.
Toyota has a history of having TMG build cars for testing purposes that are then never raced (the Lexus GTE for example), I think this is another case of that.
Let's just hope TMG does not have to cut the LMP budget for this kind of stuff.
