At the halfway point, the running order is: Cook, Jordan, Chilton, Oliphant, Plato, Cammish, Neal, Turkington, Hill, Butcher.
Lap 13, and Chilton gets back past Jordan to re-take 2nd place. Hamilton is still struggling for pace, as he drops a further two places back to 19th. Sutton moves up to 22nd ahead of Proctor. He can’t make the move stick though, and Proctor fights back. The two tangle and Sutton picks up a puncture. He makes it round to the pits and is back on his way but now running last. Ingram climbs to 12th ahead of Neate.
Lap 14, Hamilton continues to slide down the order as he’s passed by Goff for 19th. Bushell takes 17th from Crees. Inside the points, Osborne moves up to 13th ahead of Neate. Rowbottom lines up a move on Neate and squeezes past. Neate was taken by surprise and misses his braking point overshooting the corner and spinning. He’s picked up a lot of damage but is still running. He’s into the pits at the end of the lap to remove some trailing bodywork. The team spend a while checking the car over, which leaves him at the back of the field when he gets back out.
Lap 15, Neal pulls off an overtake on Plato to take 6th place, as the Honda pair look to close in on the podium. In the podium places, Jordan is back ahead of Chilton into 2nd. Towards the back, Thompson takes 24th from Morgan.
Lap 16 is quiet, with Hamilton moving ahead of Goff into 18th being the only position change.
Lap 17, and there is a bit of change at the lower end of the points positions. Jelley is up into the top ten, with a pass on Butcher. Osborne also climbs a place into 12th, ahead of Ingram.
Lap 18, Jordan moves to the front getting past Cook to take the lead. Gornall has slowed dramatically. He makes it round the circuit and pulls into the pits. His race is over, with an issue with the car.
Lap 19, Cook slips a further place as Chilton moves up into 2nd. Cammish also makes up a place, taking 4th from Oliphant. Ingram gets past Osborne to take 12th. Whilst Cress climbs to 16th ahead of Bushell. Later in the lap, O.Jackson takes 21st place from Proctor.
Lap 20, Turkington picks up another place as he takes 7th from Plato. M.Jackson is pushing hard to get into the points as he takes 19th from Goff.
Lap 21, another place for M.Jackson as he takes 18th from Hamilton. Ingram makes up a place, moving ahead of Butcher into 11th. Hamilton slides down again, now in 20th behind Goff. Morgan climbs to 23rd passing Thompson.
Lap 22, Cook pulls back ahead of Chilton to take 2nd place. Ingram climbs back into the top ten, moving in front of Jelley. Sutton, Thompson and Neate are all running close together. Neate tries to get past with a late lunge but manages to run into Thompson. Sutton moves up to 24th, Neate comes out ahead of Thompson who drops to 26th.
Lap 23, Proctor climbs into 21st ahead of O.Jackson. Cook is looking strong, and possibly the weight is starting to hurt Jordan, as the lead changes with Cook now running out front as they move onto the last lap.
Lap 24, final lap and there are a few last ditch changes in the points. Out of the last corner, Turkington manages to get half a car length ahead of Neal to take 6th over the line. Rowbottom has Moffat and Cress pushing hard behind. Moffat squeezes up the inside, and Crees is able to follow through before Rowbottom can close the door. Moffat takes 14th, and Rowbottom drops outside of the points to 16th.
As the flag falls, the final order is: Cook, Jordan, Chilton, Cammish, Oliphant, Turkington, Neal, Plato, Hill, Ingram, Jelley, Butcher, Osborne, Moffat, Crees, Rowbottom, Bushell, M.Jackson, Goff, Hamilton, Proctor, O.Jackson, Morgan Sutton, Neate, Thompson. DNF – Gornall, Boardley, Smiley.
