Percy was the internationally renowned (well near Swanley he was)purveyor of bags of roasted peanuts from a mobile stall.
For many years this was the only food available at Brands and therefore such as G.Hill, S.Moss, C.Chapman, Ivor Bueb,Doc Shepherd, Archie Scott Brown and many more, were sustained by Percy's delectable nuts (no cheap jokes please!).
His involvement with motor sport was, that had he not been there, the above and a few thousand spectators would have starved to death.
By the way have we met?
