No, that's the old situation.
There is nothing Belgian left now (apart from things in his past)
While he was born in Belgium, went to school early on in Belgium, and had the Dutch and Belgian nationality as a kid, he had the opportunity (or was obliged?) to chose either Dutch or Belgian nationality when he turned 18.
As predicted by his parents, he chose the Dutch nationility since he felt more Dutch than Belgian, and "Belgium was only a place to sleep" at that time.
There was an item on the Belgian TV about Max last year and one of the things was about his nationality. One of the other things that he mentioned was that all people who surrounded him (management) where Dutch or international, none were Belgian.
Added to his own feelings about being Dutch or Belgian, that made the choice rather easy.
