We know very different F1 fans, then.
Most F1 fans that I know either approve or don't mind the tyre farce and DRS, or any other artificiality, that goes on there. Even more people like SC to come up on "boring" races to "spice things up"
On average, I think sportscar fans are far more against gimmicks than F1 ones.

As for the "trash talking" subject, at least around here, I think the typical behaviour is quite gentleman like. I usually see people praising Audi, or Porsche, for their recent achievements and I can't even remember really low level trash talk around here.
