In 1961 A. J. Watson was a dominant chassis builder, working with car owner Robert Wilke of Milwaukee and his Leadercard Racers, his regular drivers, Roger Ward and Len Sutton being supplemented with journeyman driver Johnny Boyd. Up until now most roadster chassis used torsion bar front suspension with a solid axle, however Boyd's has coilover shocks & springs. Pretty advanced until Sir Jack Brabham shows up with his Cooper Climax and things would never be the same.[IMG]
