1. Just a difference in name really, though there are differences in engine philosophy SR2 vs. LMP2. Don't have the reference in front of me right now, perhaps someone else can answer.

2.This year FIA had, SR1 and SR2...ACO/ALMS LMP900 and LMP675

3.Current LMP900 and LMP675 cars will continue to run till '05 but they will have to run this year's smaller restrictor while cars designed to the new rules will run the large '02 restrictor. Since the -675 category is going away (ans so is -900 essentially), those cars will be allowed to run in LMP1.
