Not sure about the old world but in the states it's been discussed how to access the stream for ultimately no cost. And I'm pretty sure Europe has similar option for free streaming.
This is your...decision. But hopefully yeah the ACO gets the points and sees no one will pay a cent to watch online, and just give up on trying to have any video of the race at all. That'll teach us.
