The Club FF1600 National Championship is the most expensive in terms of travel of any comparable national series. This has been known for some time.
In the midst of the worst recession since the thirties it's just possible that some competitors who wished to compete at each round now find that they cannot.
Like everything else in motorsport, those who have the money compete, those who don't just have to wait until they've earned it, or can persuade someone else to fund them.
