I'd agree with this, not so much that the Nordschleife is too dangerous, more that Prototypes are too fast, and too stiff, for it. Interesting reading in Autosport a bit back Stefan Johansson and Jonathan Palmer talking about the last 1000km there in '83 saying that the cars then were too stiff and fast, and the steering got kicked out of your hands in the bumps. The cars won't have got any better in this regard. If they were being driven around under 100% like some sort of demonstration it wouldn't be worth it.
