This one isn't as much in dreamland:

2. Monza 1000km (no first chicane)
3. Spa 1000km (start/restart after La Source)

7. Road America 500 Miles
8. Interlagos 6 Hours
9. Potrero de los Funes 8 Hours (ending in twilight)
10. Autopolis 6 Hours
11. Autopia 6 Hours

This one is in fantasyland, just for the hell of it:
1. Daytona 24 Hours (pre-1984 layout)
2. Sebring 12 Hours (1967-82 layout)
3. Monza 1000 Miles (Mille Miglia, no first chicane, eased second chicane)
4. Spa 1000km (1979-80 layout, with necessary gravel run-offs)
5. Le Mans 24 Hours (Dunlop and Mulsanne Chicanes removed)
6. Nurburgring 1000km (Nordschleife 12.944 miles)
7. Brands Hatch 1000km (with the old Graham Hill Bend)
8. Enna Pergusa 1000km (Targa Florio, 1971-75 layout)
9. Interlagos 6 Hours (full 4.946-mile course)
10. Potrero de los Funes 8 Hours (ending in twilight, both chicanes removed)
11. Suzuka 1000km
12. Macau 4 Hours
13. Bathurst 12 Hours (no Chase on Conrod)

I did say fantasyland. Anyway, that's one roval, one real airport circuit, one serious street circuit, and a load of great road courses. You have a mix of power circuits and handling circuits, with several that will require compromise to accommodate some of both. (Also, I think 4 hours at Macau will be plenty.)

And in this dream scenario, I'd like to see the start at Le Mans done like it was in 1970; the cars are lined up echelon-style, with the drivers strapped in, and when 4:00p.m. rolls around, they drop the tri-color, engines fire, and they take off.
