There are plenty of alternatives, first of all Cooper Tyres parent company of Avon will transfer all motorbike production to France and Montluçon, then the Goodyear-Dunlop parent company is as we speak reviewing the complete motorsport catalogue from Avon and is considering a future for products which are legitimate, by that they mean profitable, which of course should include historic tyres but not only.

On the other hand, there are manufacturers such as Continental which owns Hoosier, the biggest supplier of bias-ply tyre in the world, whom has been developping historic tyres as well and which will invest more in the market in the future it is hoped, Hoosier nevertheless has products which already cover the needs of historic and only need to be distributed, which I'm sure they will.

Last and back to Goodyear, they have a strong motorsport offering too and products available mainly on the US market which are slowly being brought to Europe since they took over Dunlop.

So altogether, let's not jump to alarming conclusions.
