Will Power took Pole, with five of the the top six places dominated by Chevrolet. Penske team mates Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin, took 2nd and 5th spots. Rookie David Malukas was the lone Honda in 6th.

Championship leader Marcus Ericsson was 12th and reigning driver's champion Alex Palou was 14th.
