Personally I think Phil Cooke shot himself in the foot by not going to Doune.
He would have won the class, admittedly without breaking the class record, but would have had an additional class win to his name to help in the tie-break.

Yes Final results were issed last week , With Adam 1st.
I think the protest was always going to fail, it was just a way of making feelings known about how the points were issued, as i don't think Phil would have actually gained any points from going to Doune as there weren't enough class nos, all he would have gained was a 1st place, which as it turns out cost him the championship
FWIW why is a FF1600 not classed as a 1600cc racing car for class points purposes ?
