Couple of tricks for Eurosport Player (NOT the VLC links) users:
- because the quality is adaptive, it seems to go to HD mode only when in large size/full screen
- apparently HD quality is still not available in all countries - but you can use e.g.
http://hola.org and access the site via
http://www.eurosportplayer.co.uk instead, as a bonus you get British commentators if you're restricted to your country's own
- the continous no-commentary feed isn't HD, but nothing stops you from opening the site twice (continous + ES1/ES2), muting and syncing them (pausing the video)
Much more happy now than I would be with the local commentators and crappier quality.
