Sorry to be Pedantic but I think Bentza won in a purple and white Quattro, beating our own John Welch in that horrid wet GP in 85 I think.
Doesnt everyone seem to remember Martinsens BMW, it was a very silly car and did used to lay black lines from its tyres eerywhere, but it wasnt as powerful as Alamaki's 935 engined Porsche which was a totl#al beast, in fact I think the reason he was so fast later on in the Dalta and 205 was because he had to get that power crazed Porch around the tracks!
BTW Bentza did build an 80 Quattro but it was rubbish!!
My best memory is Bert Brodin in the S1 E2 backing off for the Esses and being able to hear the wastegate in the toilet!! I ran out to see what the gorgeous noise was,, proper power, proper cars and proper drivers!!
