Bear in mind PSA were big users of the Valeo stop/start idea, where the flywheel was also the starter and alternator, and then add in 10 odd years of development since that concept... It could get very interesting!

This could go very well in hand with new "principle" methods of fuel injection(supercritical or 'near-supercritical) which pug could very well develop in house... so in the end a V8 could be pushed harder, without fuel consumption skyrocket... and without performance being much different from the V12.
