'Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe technical director Pascal Vasselon believes that the reduction in energy for the Alpine A480 Gibson was not a Balance of Performance adjustment but rather a “correction of a mistake” by the the FIA and ACO that will primarily affect the car’s refueling time.
“It looks like a mistake,” Vasselon told Sportscar365. “It has an importance on the refueling time as the refueling is proportional to the energy you consume. If you are allocated too much energy you don’t consume it and the refueling time will be reduced. We expect it to have an impact on their refueling time.”'
