All very well James, but the race has been on the same date as the second round of the
élections législatives each time those elections have been held in mid-June since their inception in their current form in 1988. Only twice have they not coincided, and those occasions were when the second round of the elections was held in March and on 1st June respectively.
I'm not going to count how many times the 24 Hours has coincided with the Canadian GP
