While it might prove popular short term, there's a hidden long term problem. Brock, Lowndes, Whincup, Johnson, Moffat etc are all fan favorites, legends you might say. This reputation came from winning, a lot. Dominating. Forcing the Championship hopefuls to go for "best average finish over 3 races" will rob fans of the next legend, even if it is "entertaining".
