A lot of the commentators felt this change was a positive one, at least the reorganization of the race week. For sure the abandoning of the test day helped the teams financially.
For the fans, we did miss out on one more chance to see the cars, of course! hah

But it wasn't a bad thing to do. If they do bring back the test day, I think they could keep race week the same as they did this year.
For one, by having qualifying on one day, it eliminates the chance of some guys being lucky one day and others not so lucky.

I'd be in favour of bringing back test day maybe with a different way of doing things, but that would require re-arranging May.

They could use the Spa LMS race to hold an additional day or 2 of testing Spa and maybe even head to Le Mans at the end of the week for more testing. Who knows...
It would make Utah ALMS race a bit hard to manage.
