the lola aston martin is indeed a very powerful car. however this was just the first practice session. i'd expect faster times from both audi & peugeot, and also, they all talk a lot about the race speed that is much harder to get here because of the long straights which require engine forcing all the time. last year, peugeot was just 2 seconds slower in the race than in qualifying at monza, and audi are legendary for maintaining their qualifying pace in the race as well - le mans always proved they're bulletproof with racing flatout for 24 hours, even. so i don't know if the lola aston martin will be able to maintain such a small gap from the leading diesels in the race.
