Seconds out Round 2!
The Motorsport Vision Sprint at Snetterton saw Round 2 of the SBD Motorsport British Sprint Championship. The weather in the morning was great but as the cars were getting ready for the second runs the heavens opened. It rained, hailed and even sleeted! It was also VERY cold! The qualification was therefore all down to the first timed run and we had a bit of a topsy-turvey group in the run-off.
Steve Broughton swept through from sevnth qualification slot to snatch the win as the rain once again swept in between the two runs. Andrew Platt managed to hold onto second and consolidate his championship lead whilst Terry Holmes, who had qualified 11th took a wonderful third. Tony Wiltshire, he of the designer wellies, was fourth. Meanwhile Roger Kilty in his EuroBoss Reynard had looked like an odds on favourite until a quick 360 at Sear dropped him to seventh.
