many years ago we used to go every Friday to the hotel de France and see all the old cars, then there suddenly seemed to be less cars there, we were then told about a new car show held just north of le mans, so the next year we headed there, have been every year since. The organisation has got better each year and the early years of a few hundred people has grown into one of the largest classic car events in France.
