Doesn't seem 'fair enough' to me, it seems pants, utter incompetence. If you are a business putting up a calendar of events then you put up all that you know about, not just selected ones (selected on what basis, pray?).
Compare with music venues, theatres, concert halls etc - how often do you go to a website to book something specific, and get sidetracked reading up on other events that catch the eye and look or sound interesting? Loads !
