It's an unusual one, and maybe it's 'cause it was the first really different sound I heard at my first trek to the 24 Hours of Daytona, 1975. The visual (boxy dang vehicles) prolly didn't hurt, either. 'Noticed during the night whilst laying in our tent (down by the west hairpin) that when the drivers were
on it, we could tell where they were on the circuit...unlike any other make.
Later they were in M1s and an occasional prototype (got it yet?)
But the BMW straight sixes seemed to sound the sweetest in the CSLs.
