Not just the tyres sadly, £1250 to start with, but a set of wheels too that suit the old March F2 rear hubs that are centre lock.
Set of MB wheels will be about £3500.

Added to that is getting them to/from the paddock.
The trudge of getting stuff/kitchen sink back to the tow car on a Sunday afternoon would be too much.

Taking a slow run and loosing points is the alternative.

In the Championship you can drop 2 of the worst scores, 7 events from 9 count, so you hope the wet ones can be dropped and that there are only 2 wet events.

I'm not alone in this, not everyone has wets, just most, but the wets tend to be old and degraded.

Best compromise is to have the slicks 'lightly' grooved to a wet pattern. You loose some rubber surface in the dry, but not that much. Have tried this in the past but did not seem effective.
