He's only about 20 years too late. Dunlop branded caps and only Supercars supplied beverages on podiums and at press conferences have been in place for a very long time.
In fact the previous pole award sponsor already had a requirement in the rules re branded caps. We only had the issue at Bathurst because the wording in the rulebook hadn't changed from last year - presumably because the deal for Boost support came together late in the day.
I expect that Mr Adderton is still pretty happy with the coverage it's given his brand name!
