P2 unreliability is a bit of a mystery, the best thoery I have heard on the subject it the calibre of team and driver it attracts - they are harsher on the car - understand less about things like pitch control and run kerbs harder and are generally unsympathetic.
Reliability and weight thoery simply is not logical.
