I thought tobacco sponsorship was out?
Tobacco company Philip Morris has extended its sponsorship deal with Formula One motor racing team Ferrari. Under the deal, the Marlboro brand has extended its sponsorship until at least 2011. The European Union, who is increasing its legislation against tobacco advertising, has already issued a directive banning all print and broadcast advertising and event sponsorship within the EU by tobacco companies. Here goes Ferrari again, thinking they have omittance from certain rules? I thought tobacco sponsorship was gone August 1st?? I realise that not all races are in the EU, but majority certainly are?
