If so that leaves a lot of grey areas. Was it someone at BTC who understands the technical aspects querying the legality? Or was it similar to the previous Matt Neal comments about building a RWD Civic?
If it was a genuine query over legality from a technical perspective, then I would expect it only right to ask questions if you think something might not be fully compliant on a rival team's car.
If it was just a non-technical based comment about a rival car, it's more likely to be an off the cuff comment after one of their own cars has just failed a ride-height check.

The question was raised to TOCA prior to last weekend.
I see it more a case of a certain driver who left Motorbase for what he thought would be a quicker and more competitive car and now finds himself in a car that isn't proving to be as quick as Motorbase's new cars.
